The Estate

Private riding, with no audience

Alsio Vandrelli is a private riding estate on Willowmere Lane, with its own stables, paddocks, sand arena, and trails through meadow and woodland. There are no group classes, no spectators and no public opening hours. Every session is booked in advance for one rider, or for two who already ride together.

The teaching is classical: a correct seat, light hands, and patience with the horse. Sessions are not cut to a fixed slot. They end when the horse has done enough.

The Riding

three ways to ride with us

Lessons

Private lessons

One-to-one classical instruction, or a shared lesson for two riders who already ride together. We work on seat, position and rein contact, at whatever pace the horse needs.

Jumping

Jumping lessons

For riders returning to jumping, or improving the technique they already have. Fences go up only when you and the horse are ready for them. We never rush a horse at a fence.

Trails

Evening trail rides

Trail rides leave in the evening, when the light softens, and follow old paths and fence lines across the estate. There are optional fences along the way for riders who want them. It is a proper ride out, not a line of visitors walking nose to tail.

Your Visit

who it suits, and what to expect

The rider

Who it is for

Each session is booked for one rider, or for two who already ride together. We prepare the horse, the arena and the lesson plan before you arrive. All we ask is that you come ready to ride.

It suits experienced riders, and riders coming back to the saddle after a break. We don’t teach beginners, and we don’t host spectators. Everyone in the arena is there to ride.

Arrival

The estate is not signposted from the road. Your confirmation email gives the time and directions to the gate. Arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in before you ride.
During

Your session

Your horse is tacked up and waiting, or your own is brought in if you are bringing one. You then ride the session you booked: a private lesson, a jumping lesson, or a trail ride if the weather allows. One session, done well.
After

Finishing

The session ends when the horse has done enough, not at a set minute. You walk back to the yard together. To book again, send another request. We are open Tuesday to Sunday.
